Plugged two of these into an HP Pavillion DV5000 series notebook, started it up, and it ran like clockwork. (Fast clockwork) Clued my brother in on his Compaq model notebook since it uses the same memory... he had a little trouble with his, contacted the manufacturer, and they sent him 2 new sticks. Those work perfectly.
It's cheap RAM, but it works very well. Great for upgrading from 1 to 2 gig. Was this review helpful?

My computer was running very slow mainly startup/running more applications. Mainly due to 512 MB memory came with my Inspiron E1505. After searching at other places, I found Buy.com to have the best price $13 (after rebate) for a GB. I got it within a week even though it said it could take up to 10 to 14 days (due my free shipping preferences). Installed the memory in a snap and boy!!! my computer is running great. It was surely worth it.
My start up time, application startup time improved a lot as it has now 1.5 GB of RAM. The entire process went very smoothly. Was this review helpful?

Bought 2 of these around 2 weeks back.. There was a bit delay.. as compared to usual shipping what buy.com does.. but that's okie as I've selected free shipping.. so got what I opted for .. installation was super easy.. no hassel.. haven't got mail in rebate yet.. hope fully soon I'll get it.. One thing for sure.. it's really a value for money...

What can you say about RAM? It makes your computer run faster by 20-30% if you didn't have a lot before, and for $14 or so thats a great bang-for-buck deal. Bought it for my girlfriends Thinkpad T61, installed fine, and now her laptop is far smoother running the apps she needs (Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator etc.) than it was before with only 1gb RAM. 2gb is a big improvement. If the rebate comes back it's a steal, but at least its Kingston and not some random Thai chip manufacturer so I'm optimistic about actually receiving the rebate check. Was this review helpful? |
